Atlantic City's beach concerts have featured Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton and others in the past couple of years. Yesterday we learned that the summer of 2016's beach concerts will start with the 'Margaritaville' singer himself; Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will perform on the beach in Atlantic City on August 13.

Specific details (like the time) for the show have not been released yet, but we do know when tickets will go on sale. Parrotheads will be able to purchase tickets on June 3 for the show. Ticket prices were not mentioned in any of the official releases, but for past beach concerts shows have been general admission. Ticketmaster's website indicates ticket prices may start at $55 for the Jimmy Buffett concert. VIP packages will also be available.

All three shows are presented by Live Nation in partnership with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). The CRDA has provided as much as $2 million to support six or more acts this summer. The group said in a release on Friday that more big acts are to be announced.

If you're thinking about going, I say ABSOLUTELY. I have been to two of the concerts on the Atlantic City Beach over the past couple of years, and both shows were great! I saw Lady Antebellum in 2014 and Rascal Flatts on the beach in 2015.

I mean is there a better way to celebrate summer at the Jersey Shore than by seeing SUPERSTARS on the Atlantic City beach? The ocean is to your left and the boardwalk is to your right while up ahead you're watching musical superstars?

Plus, the city does a GREAT job at creating a memorable experience with these shows. The musicians are jazzed to be on the beach so their energy level has been really high. Plus, the city welcomes the concert-goers with open arms. The restaurants, casinos, and shopping were all prepared for the influx of visitors in my experience. Traffic was never even a problem!

After Buffett's show the beach concerts will continue in September. The Zac Brown Band will take the stage on Thursday, September 1; and Florida Georgia Line will perform on Saturday, September 3.

Atlantic City isn't the only Jersey Shore town welcoming superstars to perform on the beach this summer. Tim McGraw will perform on the Wildwood beach on the Fourth of July.
