In the days when we hear about young Fathers who either accidentally or intentionally kill or neglect their young children, it's certainly refreshing to hear popular Rap Artist and Business Mogul Jay-Z celebrate the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy Carter over the weekend.

I pray his celebrity will deeply impact the young men who are tempted to take the gift of fatherhood for granted.

I am gratful I was raised by a Father who took the responsibility of being a dad seriously. Even with the loss of his wife at a young age and financial obstacles, he managed devote his life raising three children and encouraged them to work hard, love God, live honestly and learn new things continuously.
