
These Wildwood Restaurants Are Raising Money For Baseball Program
In the years after the Camden Catholic Diocese discontinued funding for numerous Catholic Schools in South Jersey, these educational institutions have become dependent on the local community to maintain operations.
Some Catholic Schools in South Jersey were forced to close when they lost the support of their communities and the Diocese of Camden. The list of schools that closed includes Sacred Heart High School in Vineland (2013), Saint Augustine School in Ocean City (2008), and Saint Raymond's School in the Villas (2007).
While most Private Academic Institutions cover the basics with student tuition and annual fundraisers, extracurricular activities are a separate set of expenses. The operating costs for Intercollegiate Sports can become daunting. We have seen Public Schools, that lost State Funding, were forced to eliminate their Band Program.
Now two Restaurants are stepping up to raise money for a South Jersey Catholic School to make sure their Sports Programs has the money needed for the Spring Season.
Which Wildwood Restaurants Are Raising Money For South Jersey Catholic School?
Celebrating 75 years in South Jersey, Wildwood Catholic Academy has stayed open thanks to local community support. Located between 15th Avenue and 16th Avenue in North Wildwood, WCA is one of the only religious academic institutions that remain open in Cape May County.
Thanks to the support of people like Regina “Jeanne” Williams, Wildwood Catholic Academy has continued to offer Pre-K through 12th Grade Education. But one of the biggest traditions at WCA has been the Athletic Programs, which are a different set of expenses.
MudHen Brewing Company along with Dogtooth Bar and Grill in Wildwood are raising money for the Wildwood Catholic Academy Baseball Team. On Tuesday, February 25th they are donating a portion of proceeds from dine-in, carry-out, or delivery to the Baseball Program.
When you present a hard copy or electronic version of the promotional flyer, the dining establishments will donate 30 percent of the proceeds from net sales to the Wildwood Catholic Academy Baseball Team.
