Ventnor Social Opening Soon in Old Santucci's Location

If you have been wondering what was happening at Santucci's in Ventnor and why it has been closed lately, you aren't alone.

We are now finding out. Santucci's Original Square Pizza was put up for sale this winter.

Santucci Ventnor opened with much fanfare in 2019.

The pizza was good, but the service was less than the best, and I got the sense that many locals had lost that lovin' feeling for the way Santucci's Ventnor's conducted business.

I imagine the $3.1 million listing price for the business was also a big incentive to sell.

It's quite a jump from the property's 2019 sale price of $439,000.

But that price would now include the liquor licence; it was the listing price and not the sale price, and nothing is getting any cheaper.

New Owners of Ventnor Santuucci's Property

The buyers were Jersey Cape Partners from Wildwood, who also own Nucky's Speakeasy in Ventnor Square theatre, the Burger Bar in the Harbor Square Theatre in Stone Harbor, as well as Captain Jack's on the Wildwood Boardwalk.

The property includes the former Santucci's space with a full bar on the first floor, a 3000-square-foot deck with a bar on the second floor, and a retail store next door with two 2-bedroom apartments upstairs.

Santuccii's Pizza will take over the retail space next door as a to-go-only business.

A First Look at Ventnor Social

While no menu has been released yet for Ventnor Social, we will get a sneak peek at the outside deck this Saturday, beginning at 11, during the Ventnor Block Party.

The grand opening of Ventnor Social will take longer, pending the completion of renovations, according to social media comments.

Based on the responses of people to a Facebook post this week, there is a very positive vibe about the opening of Ventnor Social.
