A woman from Kalempang village in Indonesia was found dead inside a python after being reported missing.

Fellow villagers began to search for Farida, 45, after the mother-of-four didn't return home.

Her husband found her belongings in the jungle, which "made him suspicious." After an extensive search, the villagers spotted a "a python with a large belly."

According to Agence France-Presse, Farida was identified by her husband on Friday (June 7).

"They agreed to cut open the python's stomach. As soon as they did, Farida's head was immediately visible," Suardi Rosi, head of the Kalempang village, told the outlet.

Graphic footage obtained by The Daily Mail shows an individual cutting open the giant snake.

Later in the video, a woman's body, fully clothed, is seen being carried away.

According to Cornell University professor Dr. Harry W. Greene, pythons are deadly animals. The large snake can kill a person in a matter of minutes.

According to the Natural History Museum of London, the reticulated python is the longest snake in the world.

The snake, which is native to South Asia, can grow to be longer than 20 feet.

Zoo Atlanta, which has several reticulated pythons, noted the snakes "have a reputation for being aggressive."

According to the zoo's website, these snakes "may reach ages beyond 20 years. Sexual maturity is reached within two to four years but is dependent on size. Males breed once they’ve reached lengths of seven to nine feet, while females begin breeding once they attain a length of about 11 feet."
