How Could I Not Know About the Christmas Pickle

It's the first year we have the Christmas Pickle, and recently I've heard about this popular tradition. I can't believe I've never heard of this before.

The little pickle ornament brings so much happiness.

Wondering how it works? On or before December 25th hide the pickle ornament on the tree. The first child to find the pickle gets a special treat or they get to open the first present. The key to hiding the pickle is put it on the tree away from the other ornaments and it blends in with the tree. Make it hard to find. What a cute idea. Our pickle will be on the tree this year and I can't wait to hide it.
