As we wait for more winter weather to arrive in Ocean County, we're already seeing evidence of the rough weather off of our coast.

The photo above, taken only moments ago, shows the Toms River in Huddy Park pushing over the banks. The interesting part is the fact that we haven't seen much precipitation in the last few days, but the offshore storm that just missed us is pushing tides higher than usual.

As the tides go through their cycles and precipitation does start to move in, we need to keep in mind that the usual places for flooding - Route 35, parts of 37, local roads, etc, very well may see water rise above normal levels.
