In times of tragedies there are always some unscrupulous "entrepreneurs" who take advantage of the situation of others.

Thankfully, here in Ocean County, we haven't heard many stories of price gouging. But The Townsquare News Network is reporting that NJ Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa has filed suit against a number of Northern NJ businesses accused of price gouging in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and the resulting run on gas and housing.

One shameless gas station in Paterson is accused of rasing their gas prices from a $3.45, about normal for the state, to a staggering $5.50 per gallon.

Have you seen any instances of price gouging in the week and a half since the hurricane? Tell us in the comments section!
