Fun event coming to Ocean County College

This production is highly interactive and children should expect to sing and dance right along with the actors! ~ Dr. Brierley

Here's a chance for your Kids to have a fun day and to help your Community.

The children’s musical theatre company, Three Story Players, will perform three short plays based on fairy tales adapted to the stage with original music.  A Magic ‘Do’ … And Some Wishes Too! is written and directed by Dr. Beth Willetts-Brierley, OCC Associate Professor of Communications. Friday, May 2 and May 9 at 10:00 a.m., and Saturday, May 3 and May 10 at 12:00 noon.  All performances will take place in the Black Box Theatre, in the academic wing of the Arts & Community Center (Building #18), OCC Main Campus in Toms River.  Seating is limited.

Admission is FREE with a donation of a non-perishable food item or a personal hygiene item, which will be delivered to the Paula Brown Soup Kitchen (First United Methodist Church of Toms River) and the People’s Pantry (the largest and most comprehensive relief center in New Jersey).

The three short tales feature:

·         Three Wishes, the story about a poor woodcutter who is granted three wishes by a fairy;

·         Snow White & Rose Red, the story of two girls who have an encounter with a bear, a dwarf, and two princes;

·         Emperor’s New Hair, a new twist on an old tale.  With more than 100 wigs to cover his bald head, this emperor is approached by a traveling salesman with a very unusual product.

To reserve seats, call Dr. Beth Willetts-Brierley at 732-255-0400, ext. 2101
