Samuel James, 26, whose last known address is in Burlington Township, was arrested Monday afternoon in Barrington. He's charged with murder in the death of Byron Tuner, 24, near his home on East Federal Street, sometime before 7 PM Saturday.

James was placed in the Burlington County Jail, with bail set at a full $1,000,000.

According to the office of Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi, Turner was found with a gunshot wound to the head by responding officers. He was rushed to Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, where he was pronounced dead at about 10 PM.

Authorities said that a five-year-old girl nearby was not hit by bullets, but was injured while running from the gunfire and needed treatment at Lourdes Medical Center in Willngboro.

Criminal charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
