Frantic mother gets her babies back in Surf City

14 ducklings are safe with their mother after being rescued from a storm drain in Surf City Wednesday, according to the Police Department's Facebook page.

A concerned citizen is credited with alerting Surf City Police about the ducklings trapped in in the drain at North 4th Street and Barnegat Avenue.

An officer and members of the Surf City Department of Public Works freed the the ducklings.
