This Saturday ( 5/4 ) its the 3rd Annual Toms River Foodfest

Toms River Food Fest is the first major Township-sponsored event since Hurricane Sandy. We’re anxious to get some things back to normal for our residents and visitors. Our annual Toms River Food Fest is a happy event and I encourage everyone to come out, bring the whole family, and bring your neighbors! ~ Toms River Mayor Thomas Kelaher

 

Here's a look at the Entertainment Schedule

12:30-2:00 pm- Shorty Long & the Jersey Horns, the World’s #1 Party Band playing everything from Bob Marley and Billy Idol, to Jimmy Buffett and Tom Petty.

2:30-4:00 pm- Jobonanno and the Godsons of Soul, an R&B band with a classic rock influence playing your favorites from Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones and more.

4:30-6:00- Gypsy, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band featuring songs such as, “Tusk,” “Landslide” and “Go Your Own Way.”

6:30-9:00-Weird Science, The Ultimate 80’s Experiment, highlighting the best of the 80’s with songs from Duran Duran, Journey, Bon Jovi, Poison, Rick Springfield, The B-52’s, and more!

Festival-goers can sample a variety of specialty food items and try new restaurants, bistros and snack bars. So far, Toms River Food Fest patrons can expect a variety of food such as Cheese steaks, BBQ pork, Sausage & Peppers and Japanese teriyaki as well as traditional fare such as hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. For dessert, sample the many snack varieties such as Funnel cake, Italian ice, cotton candy and fried Oreo’s.

-For the kids, there will be free games and large inflatable rides to jump on from 12-6. Also FREE are face painting and a balloon artist. This year, one of the mechanical rides will allow parents to ride with their children. All children’s rides are sponsored by Pine Belt Automotive.

-92.7 WOBM radio personalities will be co-Emcees on the stage, throughout the day. We will have prizes and giveaways. Featured On-Air Personalities include Shawn Michaels, Sue Moll and Marianne Levy ( WOBM-AM )

-Toms River Fire Company #1 will be sponsoring a Beer and Wine Garden for the adults.
