Turner Syndrome Foundation at ShoreTown Ball Park

Join the Turner Syndrome Foundation at ShoreTown Ball Park for the BlueClaws Baseball Game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on June 29 where the Turner Syndrome Foundation (TSF) is the featured community partner. If that’s not enough, this game happens to be Irish Heritage Night featuring live rock music by the Snakes, a New Jersey Irish Rock Band!

The game starts at 7:05 p.m. with tickets $20 per person. A portion of the proceeds ($11) from the ticket sales will go directly to Turner Syndrome Foundation when you order tickets from this GiveButter site.

Turner Syndrome Foundation is a community partner of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Jersey Shore BlueClaws will be playing the Greensboro Grasshoppers on June 29. The Grasshoppers are the High-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Lori Kobular, Vice President of Turner Syndrome Foundation, has been working with Jim McNamara, Vice President of Ticket Sales for the Jersey Blue Claws, to make this community partner event happy.

About Turner Syndrome

Turner Syndrome (TS) is a rare, random chromosomal disorder affecting more than 2 million individuals born female. TS is the second-most common genetic disorder, with 1 in 2,000 baby girls born with it annually.

TS could trigger many physical, cognitive, emotional, and social issues. Complications can involve the kidneys, heart, thyroid, diabetes, hearing, osteoporosis, infertility, pregnancy, visual-spatial skills, and executive function. It is estimated that 10 to 20% of all first-trimester miscarriages are related to TS. Only 1 to 2% of fetuses with TS survive to birth, and those who survive are truly miracles!

About TSF

Established in 2008, TSF is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Hazlet, New Jersey. Its mission is to support research initiatives and facilitate education programs that increase awareness and enhance healthcare for those affected by TS. Early diagnosis and comprehensive treatments over the lifespan may lead to a brighter and healthier future for all individuals affected by the condition. TSF accomplishes its mission through awareness, advocacy, education, and research initiatives. In 2023, TSF served 20,000 individuals and more than 140,000 people from around the world and over 60 countries have accessed online resources. The number of people and the need for this mission grows stronger every year!
