Dancing with Dad – 15 Years In The Studio Comes To An End

My Daughter has another milestone under her belt

June has brought with it great achievements, but also some sadness as our "Little Girl" is now grown up and moving on to College. This past weekend she performed for the last time at Spotlight Academy of Dance. 15 years! she danced with "Rocki" and the rest of the gang in purple. ( The photo to the left was Erin's first recital at age 3, the right her last at age 18 ) how quickly time flies. Like I said it's bittersweet. So many days spent at the studio it'll seem weird when she doesn't have to be there. The dance team was like a second family .... spending time together at the Holidays, parties after competition and milestones like beginning High School and getting their drivers license.

It was always a pleasure with dance and as Parents we owe a lot to her "Dance Family" who kept her body and mind challenged and her time well spent and constructive. It was a FANTASTIC run and I will miss it. I hope they'll be some dance still to come in College.

So now her Senior Trip is over, the big Spring Production ( Shrek the Musical ) is over, Dance is now over ...... all thats left is Thursday! Stay Tuned ....
