Audrey N. Paraskevas is accused of holding an amount of the waxy concentrate that gives marijuana its psychological impact during her Friday arrest in Monmouth's Ocean Township.

Police there say they stopped Paraskevas on Route 35  at Sunset Avenue around 3:15 PM because she was driving without having her seat belt engaged.

Sensing a strong odor of marijuana, police said, the patrol officer found nine bags of suspected weed, related apparatus, a pocket knife, and a glass container believed to be partly filled with tretrahydrocannabinol (THC), also known on the street as butta, honey oil and earwax marijuana.

Paraskevas now faces drug and weapons counts in addition to the driving infraction, and awaits a municipal court date.

Late last week, Stafford police reported a spike in sales to teens of butane - considered a prime component in DIY manufacturing of THC.
