Brick Police investigating Monday report of shots fired near Sawmill Road

Brick Police are investigating a report of shots fired around 1:00 pm on Monday afternoon along Creek Road and Sawmill Road, more so as to who knows what happened at this point and who was involved.

Chief James Riccio said Monday that a weapon was recovered in the area but there were no injuries and there is no further threat to public safety at this time.

Detectives are speaking with several people though with potential ties to the incident as persons of interest in their investigation.

The 9-1-1 caller told police they heard several shots in the area on Monday.
