What’s The Story Behind The Artwork On This Recognizable Brick, New Jersey Building?

There are buildings around the Jersey Shore that just stick out. Memorable buildings that we always notice when we pass by.

Some of these buildings are in very well-traveled areas. And there's a building just like that sitting on Brick Blvd right near the Route 70 intersection in Brick. For the past 9 years, this building has served as a storage facility for Awards of Brick.

We've all driven by the unique building with the sky blue background and the swirly skies painted from top to bottom. So, what's the story with that great artwork? We talked to the manager of Awards of Brick, Jacquie Pedersen, and it turns out she wants to know the story as much as we do.

Who did the artwork? Why was it done? And how long ago was it done? We turn to the most knowledgeable people we know when it comes to all things Jersey Shore. We turn to you.

The Kramer Family purchased it in 1995, and it has been at its current location for nearly a decade. The business started in 1978.
