Jesse Fusco leaves for his freshman year at Northeastern University in late August and like all college students some extra money always comes in handy.  The recent Brick Memorial graduate had a big smile on his face after picking up $1000 as this year's WOBM/Gateway Toyota scholarship winner from Gateway General Manager Rick Cardwell and Townsquare Media's Kevin Williams.  Fusco was among 38 high school seniors honored during the past school year as a Student of the Week through a program the auto dealership in Toms River has sponsored for 25 consecutive years.

In mid-June his name was randomly selected during a drawing at Gateway Toyota to receive the scholarship award which is provided equally by the dealership and 92.7 WOBM.  Fusco, who ranked 17th in his graduating class was very active during his time at Brick Memorial.  President of the Key Club and a member of the National Honor Society and Brick Mayor's Student Council, he also played soccer and ran track for the Mustangs.

Jesse plans on majoring in history and political science at Northeastern which is located in Boston.
