It's a shocking and heartbreaking blow to the U.S. and to Simone Biles who is out of the Olympics after suffering a "medical issue" on Tuesday morning, according to USA Gymnastics.

Biles was set to compete in on the uneven bars but was then subbed out, NBC News reports, and then left the U.S. gymnastics team final walking away with her bag and trainer by her side.

She had concerning results at the vault on Tuesday, only getting a 1.5 twist on a 2.5 twisting Yuchenko and then stumbling backwards on her landing scoring a 13.766, NBC News reported.

It looks like Biles is done for the remainder of the events in gymnastics as well as USA Gymnastics spokeswoman Carol Fabrizio told USA Today Sports that she "would not compete in the remaining events."

The extent or identification of any injury is not yet known.

"Simone has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions," USA Gymnastics said in a statement obtained by USA Today Sports.

Biles has won 4 Golds and 1 Bronze in her two Olympic appearances in 2016 and for 2020, per Team USA's website, and along with that won Gold at the 2019 World Championship for team, all-around, balance beam, floor exercise and vault.
