Brake For Turtles?

If you live along coastal areas of the Jersey Shore then you probably have seen our slowest travelers ... turtles. Now through August is the time when many Turtles will be making their way around the shore. Over the past several years there has been more and more attention to keeping these "slow pokes" safe as they cross area roadways. Many times residents will help (safely) the turtles cross busy roadways and avoid being struck by moving vehicles .... Do you brake for turtles ? I do and have helped get a few across Seven Bridges Road ... My Wife (April) recently helped with special fencing along the roadway to help keep the turtles safe.

So this Summer when we (humans) are traveling around make sure we keep a watch for the "slow-pokes" and give the turles a brake....
