Be on the lookout – Toys R Us shoplifting ring might have a shore base
An organized group of shoplifters that have preyed on Toys R Us stores from New Jersey to Maryland during the past few months might have operatives at the shore, according to Toms River police.
The toy centers have been hit for goods amounting to tens of thousands of dollars in value.
Township criminal investigators, in collaboration with the toy distributor's East Coast security division, have developed information leading to the likelihood that the two individuals in the photos accompanying this brief are local.
Police said that they might be traveling in a four-door Cadillac, as seen in the accompanying surveillance photo. The issued photos do not carry date or time stamps.
If you recognize either, or both, reach Toms River Detective John Bajcic through a private message on the TRPD's Facebook page, email him, or call 732-349-0150, extension 1278.
Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
