The Middletown 36-year-old who admitted burglarizing nine stores and a car in Ocean County in a five-month span of 2013 is sentenced to four years in New Jersey State Prison.

John G. Killian received his sentence Friday in Toms River, according to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Killian was arrested in June of last year, in connection with break-ins in Point Pleasant between January 11 and May 17, 2013.

He admitted thefts at O'Brien's Florist, Touch of Class Hair Salon, Dairy Queen and several medical and chiropractic offices in the borough. Authorities said among the items Killian took were cash, checks, lidocaine containers, and hypodermic needles.

Assistant County Prosecutor Ehsan F. Chowdhry sought a five-year sentence, full restitution, and no contact with victims.
