A Jackson man is recovering in a hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a snow plow Wednesday morning. According to the Asbury Park Press, Police said the 65-year-old resident was airlifted to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune after being hit in the parking lot of the Westlake Mews Apartments on Muirfield Road.

Officials said the man was clearing snow from his vehicle just after 10 a.m. when the incident occurred. The landscaping company worker told police that he noticed the shovel coming from under the snow plow as he was backing up and saw the man kneeling behind the truck when he stopped to check. The driver asked a neighbor to call police.
