A Robber Strikes a TD Bank Branch in Toms River

Township Police said the suspect entered the TD Bank branch on Route 9 at around 7 pm, approached the tellers and demanded cash that he placed in a plastic bag.

The suspect exited the bank from the front doors and fled to the rear of the plaza where he was seen entering a white 4-door sedan with a driver waiting inside. The vehicle then fled east on Route 70 at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a male with long dark straggly hair. he wore a black hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap and a black bandana over his face.
