A Double Cheeseburger Pizza? Why Not, Says Papa John’s

Are you having trouble deciding whether it should be a pizza night or a burger night tonight?

Well, thank you very much, Papa John's, because they just solved that age old conundrum with their Double Cheeseburger Pizza.

They took the best parts of a cheeseburger and threw it all onto a pizza crust:

According to Papa John's officials, the pie includes:

...A savory combination of zesty burger sauce, layers of premium oven-roasted ground beef, fresh Roma tomatoes, dill pickles, and mozzarella cheese, all served on our fresh hand-tossed crust.

(Yes, you read that correctly, pickles right on the pizza).

I had the chance to sample the Double Cheeseburger Pizza yesterday, and I'll say this - once you get over the weird fact that it's not on a bun and there are pickles on your pizza, it does indeed taste like you're chowing down on two all beef patties, special sauce....

They say that the specialty pie will only be available for a limited time, so if you want to try the franken-burgerpizza for yourself, you can hit up Papa John's any number of ways; from going all old school and picking up the phone to call, to ordering through their website or app, and even on their official Facebook page and through your Apple TV (man, is that dangerous or what? We've come to a point where you can order a pizza between binging Stranger Things on Netflix!).
