After years of being under investigation, Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore has been accused of federal tax evasion and owing more than $1.5 million while spending lavishly on vacations and multiple homes. Gilmore is facing a six-count indictment.

Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden is warning residents of a scam in which fraudsters, pretending to be from the agency, call people, claiming they owe money and will be arrested if they don't pay over the phone.
