Verizon has announced that three towns in New Jersey will soon have a chance to see what it's like to have 5G network service - the world's fastest cell phone speed.

Basing Ridge, Bridgewater and Piscataway were among five towns chosen for a field trial of Verizon's 5G service, set to take place next year, according to NJ Advance Media. According to the article, 5G service is more than 300 times faster than cell phone speeds that are now available.

Actual 5G phones will not likely be available to customers until 2020, the article states.
