"Are They Crazy?"  That was my reaction this weekend upon learning that "running of the bulls" would be coming to the U.S.A."  If you want to know more visit www.thegreatbullrun.com.

The organizers are giving Americans the chance to show their bravado and get an adreneline rush by running the bulls at car racing tracks in several states.     If this sounds exciting to you, here's some more info from the website: "You might be trampled, gored, rammed or tossed in the air by a bull, or bumped, jostled, tripped or trampled by your fellow runners.  We do what we can to minimize those risks by using less-aggressive bulls than those used in Spain and allowing runners to hide in nooks and climb over the track fence if necessary, but make no mistake: you could get seriously injured in this event. That’s why there’s a mandatory insurance fee during the registration process and medical staff on site."

Would you consider participating in this event?  I'm sure it would be the thrill of a lifetime, but I prefer to get my excitement in other ways.  Ziplining, for example, seems a safer way to get that exhilarated feeling.  Running with the bulls seems so unsafe to me because of the unpredictability of everything.  You won't know how fast, strong, and angry the bulls are until they're right up behind you; you won't know how well the other humans will do and if they might trip over and/or trample you.  Too many unknowns to make this feel like fun for me.   What about you?  How much of a risk taker are you?  What's the scariest thing you might do for fun?  Please post in the Comments section below.
