Would You Pay For Your Coffee With Your Smartphone ?

You know I love my coffee! What do you think about this idea ?

Starbucks wants you to pay for your latte with your cell phone. The coffee giant is teaming up with Square to allow shoppers to pay with their smartphone at affiliated stores. Starting this fall, customers who download the “Pay by Square” app will be able to pay for their latte with their phone. They hope to expand the program in the future so your smartphone will recognize when you are in a Starbucks and automatically make your payment simply by telling the cashier your name.

Do you like this idea ? Will it make it quicker in and out to get your coffee ? Will it save you from fumbling for cash or your debit card ?

Do you think they need to have "incentives" for those who use their smartphone ? Or is it jst too much "tech" stuff to get a coffee ?
