We're going to keep the driving theme going today since we've gotten a great response to today's earlier question on speeding, we have a followup question for you...

To summarize, earlier today I asked you to fess up and let us know how fast you drive. As I'm writing this, the latest results have most of you (about 55%) saying that you may go a little over the speed limit, but you stick with the flow of traffic. Just over 33% of you admitted that you do speed, and only about 11% of you said that you strictly follow the speed limit.

On our discussion on Facebook, WOBM listener Boni brought up an interesting question - would you install a monitoring device on your car if it would lower your insurance rates?

I did a little bit of research and found out that a number of auto insurance companies, including Progressive and Allstate have programs where they attach a device to your car's onboard computer and it tracks things like your speed, your braking habits, the distance you drive, etc. Some of them offer discounts for "good driving habits".

So what do you think, would you let "big brother" watch you if it meant you could save some money on your car insurance? Vote below and feel free to leave a comment!
