A Lacey Township woman arrested last year for leaving her dog in a crate to die in a home she left, was found dead herself recently. ownship Police confirm that 22-year-old Megan Otte was found dead inside a Forked River home on Yorktown Drive last week, when they were notified about an unresponsive female.

According to Lacey Patch.com, her death is being probed by local Police and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office who are said to be waiting for results of toxicology test before releasing the cause of death.

An Ocean County Grand Jury indicted Otte on third-degree animal cruelty charges for leaving her mixed-breed dog named Ruger inside a crate in a house she moved from on Pensacola Road.
