This time a year ago we were celebrating our golden anniversary, as Ocean County's first radio station turned 50 years old.

Of course, we can't talk about the anniversary of the radio station without remembering the man who started it all and was with us literally until the very day of the golden anniversary.

I'm talking, of course, about Bob Levy.

Click here to check out today's "Hometown View" from Kevin Williams, who paid tribute to his friend of many years on the air and online this morning.

I'd also encourage you to click here to check out our 50th anniversary retrospective, "50 Memories in 50 Days".

We've got a look back at everything from the hidden graffiti wall in our original Bayville office, to one of our very first help wanted ads, and of course we have some photographic gems, too.

March 1st will always be a bittersweet day for us, but definitely one full of many memories.

Happy 51st birthday, WOBM, here's to many more!
