Kelly Hunt of Hammonton poses next to board of winning photos for Making More Shore Memories Contest. Hunt's photo of lifeguard's pushing through waves in Margate won third place in the contest and is the photo for the month of September as well as the cover of the calendar.

Contestants from all across the state submitted photos they thought encapsulated the Jersey Shore. The winners were voted on online at NJ Top Ten Beach's website and were revealed at D'Jais Bar and Grill in Belmar during the annual State of the Shore Address.

All of the winners will be put into a special limited edition calendar which can be purchased online.

Sea Grant Consortium Communications Director Kim Kosko noted while normally they vote on the top ten beaches, in deference to the destruction by Sandy they wanted something that celebrated what makes the shore universally great.
