Wig-Lifters Hit Lakewood Shop, Sought by Police

Two women suspected of shoplifting about $250 worth of wigs and hairpieces from a Lakewood retailer Saturday remain outside police grasp today.

Authorities in the township have issued surveillance stills in an attempt to trace the pair who were reported by the owner of Lakewood Beauty Supply around 1:40 PM.

The proprietor of the River Street shop told investigators that they left in a gold-colored Jeep Cherokee.
