“Whoops, Wrong House” Trespass Suspect Tells Police

A Manchester 39-year-old accused of breaking into a woman's house in the middle of the night while she was inside says he thought he was locked out of his own place, according to township police.

The Pine Lake Park woman called headquarters around 2:30 AM last Saturday, say authorities. Michael Marone was found trying to leave the back yard when Officer Adam Guker arrived.

Police say Marone appeared "extremely intoxicated" and kicked the front door several times after it wouldn't open, damaging the latch. Then, say investigators, he entered through an unlocked back door where the woman confronted him.

Marone was released on summonses for criminal trespass, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
