If you're a fan of health conscious & green-minded groceries without spending a whole paycheck at a time, here's some good news New Jersey. Amazon has announced that before the 'ink drys' on its nearly $14 billion dollar purchase of Whole Foods, customers will start to reap benefits.

Starting Monday, August 28,  Whole Foods Market will offer lower prices on a selection of best-selling staples. Products mentioned in an official release include animal-welfare-rated lean ground beef, almond butter, some organic apples, organic rotisserie chicken, bananas, organic avocados, eggs, organic responsibly-farmed salmon and organic baby kale and baby lettuce.

Moving forward, Amazon Prime members will receive special savings and other in-store benefits, as Prime will become Whole Foods Market’s customer rewards program. Whole Foods Market’s private label products, including 365 Everyday Value, also will be available through Amazon.com, AmazonFresh, Prime Pantry and Prime Now.

There are 17 Whole Food stores in New Jersey, with another opening soon in Metuchen. Locations include Clark, Union, Marlboro, Middletown (Red Bank address), Princeton, Wall, Cherry Hill, Marlton, Madison, Montclair, Morristown, Paramus, Ridgewood, West Orange, Newark, Closter and Edgewater,

Basically, as the new ownership is rolled out, Amazon and Whole Foods Market will offer more in-store benefits and lower prices for customers, over time.
