With the approaching long holiday weekend and after the horrible tragedy in Turkey, air travellers will be standing in long lines at the airports.  Even with some additional TSA staffers, travel experts are advising people to pack patience along with their clothes and personal items.

I once missed a flight because I was stuck in a long security screening line.  Since then, I try to get to the airport extra early.  Sure, it's inconvenient, but it's better than all the stress involved with possibly or definitely missing a flight.  I pack a book or catch up on e-mails while I'm waiting.

If you haven't flown in a while, you might find it helpful to visit the TSA website. https://www.tsa.gov/  It's a good idea to review what is and isn't allowed in your carry on.  And you can get clear on what toiletries you're allowed to put in that clear plastic bag.

If you've been flying recently, how have the security lines been?  Which airport do you usually fly out of:  Newark?  Philly?  Atlantic City?   What is your preference based on? Please share in the Comments section below.
