So Labor Day has passed, the kids are back at school, most people have wrapped up their summer vacation plans, but those of us who live here in Ocean County know one important thing - beach and boardwalk season isn't over.

That's right, it's that wonderful post-Labor Day tradition that we call "local's summer".

While a lot of people who live at the Shore may avoid crowded beaches and boardwalks from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Mother Nature doesn't automatically switch to autumn when the visitors go home for the season.

As far as the calendar is concerned, we still have another 2 1/2 weeks of summer.

As far as the weather is concerned, sure, beach season isn't going to last a whole lot longer, but it won't get too cold for a stroll on the boardwalk for quite some time.

So now that it's a lot easier to find a parking spot, lines at your favorite beachfront eateries have died down, and a lot of beaches won't be checking badges, what do you like to do when local's summer arrives?
