A lot of things are supposed to be square, but watermelons?  This is a fantastic Summer-time fruit but, should it ever be square?

According to this cool website Factslist.net, Japanese farmers grow watermelons in square glass boxes and the watermelons grow naturally in a square shape.  They do this so people can fit watermelons easier in their refrigerators.  Interesting, right.  But I would definitely try it because sometimes it just doesn't fin in my refrigerator.   The only rather odd watermelon I've ever seen in my grocery store is a baby watermelon.

Have you ever seen a square watermelon?  If there was the regular watermelon we see in our grocery stores right next to the square watermelons, would you try the square one?
