Today (Friday) the Ocean County Parks & Recreation hosts “Beach Ball –A-Palooza” at their administration offices located at 1198 Bandon Road in Toms River from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with live music, free pontoon boat rides, food trucks, nature walks and more. Saturday, August 6th

Raising Hope For Others holds their 9th annual fundraiser at the Gordon’s Corner Firehouse on Tennent Road in Manalapan from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. with a silent auction, petting zoo and craft for kids and more. Emiliana’s Hope holds their Milly Mentor Day at the Bayville VFW on Veterans Boulevard in Bayville from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Learn about peer mentoring initiatives and join group painting sessions, health & wellness demonstrations, carnival games, sports skill zone and more. Sunday, August 7th

Camp Happy Times holds their 15th annual fundraiser at the Headliner in Neptune starting at 5 p.m. featuring food from Jersey Shore BBQ and 10th Avenue Burrito. Operated by the Valerie Fund, Camp Happy Times offers a one-week overnight camp experience for any child aged 5-21 who has or has had cancer, regardless of where they are treated. The Manasquan senior citizen organization hosts their annual Berry Craft Festival at Old Squan Plaza on Voorhees Drive from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. with craft stands featuring local artisans as well as delicious home-baked berry delights. Call 732-292-9930 for more information.

The Kortney’s Challenge 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place at Monmouth Park in Oceanport starting at 8:30 a.m. Walkers and runners of all levels and strollers welcome with free fun for kids before and after the race.
