A pair of empty plots on Route 70 in Brick are proposed locations for a Panera Bread and a new Wawa gas station.

Attorneys for Brick 70 Developers said the proposal is for a 5,585-square-foot Wawa with a 12-fuel pump gasoline station with an overhead canopy, and a 4,813-square-foot restaurant with a drive-through facility. The restaurant "may or may not be utilized" as a Panera Bread restaurant, according to the letter.

The lots are located between the Wendy's and the Costco Plaza on Route 70. There is already a Wawa nearby at the corner of Brick Boulevard and Cedar Bridge Road, but it's not a Wawa gas station. The other nearest convenience store is the 7-11 on the corner of Route 70 and Chambers Bridge Road.

The application is scheduled to be heard by the Board of Adjustment on Wednesday, November 9th.
