Police are rerouting traffic around the spot where Burnt Tavern Road meets Herborn Avenue while repair staffers trace the origin.

Brick Municipal Utilities Authority Executive Director James Lacey says that the break affects about 75 homes in the area. Impacted home owners will be notified if a boil advisory takes effect after repairs are completed.

Drivers can expect sporadic lane closures at Garden State Parkway exit 91, and Burnt Tavern and Lakes Mill Roads near the exit. Police said that repairs are likely to lead to lane shifts and closures through this afternoon's rush hour.
