Most of us who own a pet know the entertainment value of a mirror. My dog Sydney, the friendliest dog you could ever meet, turns up her lip and growls when she sees herself in a mirror. This group of scientists were curious about what different animals would do when faced with their own reflections, so they set mirrors up in various locations to watch the reactions of gorillas, jaguars, elephants, and more.
