This morning, I made my way to Toms River High School East, the home of the Raiders, and the winners of our inaugural Ocean County Mascot Madness contest to present them with their well deserved award.

As you'll remember, back in the spring we held a tournament style competition between all of the high schools in Ocean County for the best school mascot.

After receiving over 100,000 individual votes to win the Ocean County crown, and then vanquishing the winner of the Monmouth County tournament as well, the Toms River East Raiders took home the award (and the bragging rights).

So this morning, myself and my editor Brad headed out to East's big pep rally to present the award. Take a look:
