Robert Stevens, 39, of Atco, and Kimberly Ott, 22, of Westville, were charged with possession after a probe by township police Saturday.

They were spotted by Manchester PD Sergeant Richard Mazza, parked in a 2005 Ford Taurus on Spruce Drive in the Richard Estates section. Mazza called for assistance by Officers Joseph Fastige and Kyle Rickvalsky.

Stevens was found to have 28 bags of crack cocaine, drug-related gear and a small amount of marijuana, police said. Ott was carrying hypodermic syringes and related items, police said.

Stevens was transferred to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $35,000 bail. The car was impounded pending forfeiture. Court proceedings have yet to be scheduled, police said.

Ott was released on her own recognizance by Camden City authorities and released on summonses related to the Manchester charges.
