The Lakewood Scoop reports that inspection department officials, escorted by police Wednesday, handed Minister Stephen Brigham an envelope of papers containing code and other violations pertaining to tents at the encampment off Cedar Bridge Avenue.

At WOBM studios earlier this month, Lakewood Mayor Albert Akerman said residents would soon start to see action to resolve the tent city situation. Residents near the encampment have been complaining about quality of life issues and according to the Mayor, they've even brought their complaints to the Judge presiding over the case.

North Jersey Attorney Jeffrey Wild, has been representing tent city residents and homeless advocates in an ongoing lawsuit to force Ocean County and Lakewood Township to build a homeless shelter. The suit has been in mediation since last year.
