The videos taken from the dashboard of the Academy Bus shows the commuter bus traveling in the far right lane of Route 9 as  a small school bus,  traveling in the  next lane over,  turns in front of the commuter bus to exit into an apartment complex on Route 9.

The video shows the moment of impact as the commuter bus goes off the highway, onto the front lawn of the apartments and into a tree.

The school bus tipped over onto its side after running through a small building housing power equipment.

A second camera also shows the reaction of the driver as he tries to control the bus.

The farthest right lane is reserved for buses during morning, drive but the Old Bridge Police PBA tell WABC TV there are questions about just what type of bus can legally use the lane and how a turn should be made.

The PBA also believes the 55 MPH speed limit in that stretch is too high.

42-year-old Daniel Jean-Pierre of Barnegat was issued two traffic violations in the January 10 crash: one for careless driving, the other for improper passing.
