It was all smiles at the White House on Tuesday as the World Cup champion United States women's soccer team visited the White House.

"They've inspired millions of girls to dream bigger and, by the way, inspired millions of boys to look at girls differently, which is just as important," President Obama said as the team and coach Jill Ellis brought their trophy to Washington D.C. The U.S. defeated Japan 5-2 during the final to win the top prize in women's soccer for the first time in 16 years.

Obama joked about team captain Carli Lloyd from Delran's Wikipedia page that briefly listed her as the President of the United States to get in a jab at the Republican field for the 2016 presidential race.

"By the way, the job is about to open up. What's another candidate?" joked Obama. "I guarantee Carli Lloyd knows a lot more about being president than some of them."

He also singled out forward Sidney Leroux on her recent marriage and midfielder Megan Rapinoe about the corn maize field shaped like her face.

"This team taught all America's children that playing like a girl means you're a badass," Obama said, to applause in the White House East Room. "Perhaps I shouldn't have used that phrase. Playing like a girl means being the best."

The team shared pictures of their visit on Twitter.
