Just last week we told you about the new park that we can look forward to in downtown Toms River. If you've passed the area in the last few days, you'll notice that progress is being made pretty quickly.

As you can see in the photo above, the fence is now gone, and grass, trees, and landscaping features are quickly taking shape.

You may remember the original story - the park is temporary as plans for the location, the main area leveled by the 2014 downtown fire, are being developed. But the owner of the location thought that we could at least have something nicer to look at in the meantime besides an empty, fenced in lot.

The original plans said that the park would take about three weeks, but at the pace that the project seems to be taking, it looks like we could have a new outdoor lunch spot to enjoy sooner rather than later!
