Both Berkeley and Tuckerton have joined the 4 other Jersey Shore towns which have already issued voluntary or mandatory evacuations.  According to APP.com and the Office of Emergency Management, residents who live in low-lying areas of Berkeley, specifically those east of Bayview Avenue along Barnegat Bay and the lagoons, Pelican Island and South Seaside Park, are being encouraged to evacuate.

The commuter parking lot in front of Central Regional Middle School at 509 Forest Hills Parkway, Bayville, is available for parking for those residents that don't wish to evacuate, but do want to move their vehicles out of harm's way.

Tuckerton and Berkeley join Manasquan, Brick and Toms River, whom have all issued voluntary evacuations in preparation for the nor'easter expected to hit our area later tonight and into Saturday.  Barnegat elevated their original voluntary evacuation to a mandatory evacuation earlier this evening.
